The Beginning in Mardin, Turkey

What started as a small family shop roasting chickpeas, almonds, and pistachios quickly became a local favorite. Their passion for freshness and flavor laid the foundation for a legacy that would last generations.

Across the Border to Syria

Mr. Georgos Bassé expanded the family business to Syria, bringing traditional roasting techniques to a new market. With new additions like hazelnuts and cashews, the Bassé family continued to earn trust and admiration for their unmatched quality.

1960

A New Generation Takes Over

After decades of success, Mr. Farid Bassé inherited the family tradition. He introduced modern roasting machines — becoming the first in Syria to blend craftsmanship with technology, while preserving authentic taste.

1989

A New Beginning in Montréal

Farid brought the family’s expertise to Canada, opening the first Montreal Nut Factory store. Despite being in a new country, the same spirit of freshness, honesty, and hard work drove the brand’s success.
